A projection system covering the whole world:

a 6°-Zone-System (60 zones) based on the UTM-Projection (Universal Transversal Mercator), a secant implementation of the transverse mercator projection between latitudes 80°S and 84°N
at the poles using the UPS (Universal Polar Stereographic) projection, based on the polar stereographic projection
