INTERLIS are data description and data transfer-
standards, developed for geographical data description and data
exchange.
INTERLIS is developed in Switzerland and are
established as national standards (Schweizerische Normenvereinigung
SNV). Interlis is also used internationally.

There exist various tools for modelling and data
checking.
